Shell construction & Design

The Aquatrainer shell is manufactured from 187 high gloss acrylic that will not fade or be affected by sun or chemicals. The shell is rigid zed with a layer of vinyl ester followed by several layers of fiberglass reinforced with balsam wood. The shell is available in four attractive colors.

Easy to install steel support beams are shipped with each unit to minimize side movement or “bowing “ of the shell when filled with water.

The wide–open shell design provides for a wide variety of uses including; countercurrent swimming, Aquafit exercises, hydrotherapy, resistance walking, hot tubbing and much more and does not have any protrusion to restrict exercise or therapy programs.

The patterned flow from the swim jets is directed back along the side of the shell to the end seats which eliminates the backwash effect found in other swim spas.

Wide highlighted and non-slip steps and optional stainless steel handrail make the Aquatrainer easy and safe to enter and exit for a wide range of users.

The main swim area in the Aquatrainer is free from obstructions or water channels found in other makes and allows for the full use of the area for unencumbered activity. A 14 ft. and 17 ft. model can provide the most compact and yet flexible aquatic facility possible.

Swim Jets

The Aquatrainer is equipped with three swim jets. Two are wide-stream full force adjustable jets installed to meet the swimmer at the shoulders while the third large round adjustable jet is positioned to meet the lower chest and maintain the swimmer on the surface.

All jets featured in the HydroTher Commercial Aquatrainer are adjustable for flow, air injection and direction. The water flow can also be directed to two separate side-wall thigh abductor exercise jets. The multiple built-in suction fittings make entrapment virtually impossible.

Therapy Seats

The HydroTher Aquatrainer is the only swim spa that provides contoured hydrotherapy seats as part of its basic design. Each seat includes 4 jets that are designed to massage the upper and lower back. A diverter valve is standard and can direct the heated water flow to these seats or to silent water returns near the floor of the shell.

Equipment

A fully commercial water quality mechanical package includes two wide-mouth NSF approved skimmers, a high performance 240 volt single phase (208/230/460/575 volt three phase equipment optionally available) 24 KW electric heater, a 200 sq. ft cartridge filter, 1 HP filter pump, in line thermometers, flow meter, automatic chemical feeder, two 5 HP counter current jet pump(s) and water level and chemical quality controllers.

HydroTher Commercial Cold Therapy Tubs and mechanical packages are equipped with the same high quality commercial grade features of our Hot Tubs with the addition of a commercial grade chilling system. The cold therapy model is equipped with a side stream chiller for use in cold therapy rehabilitation programs and many other standard features.

Each commercial spa features built-in bottom suction grate drains that maximize circulation, eliminating the problem of dirt settling on the floor of the spa and allows the tub to be totally drained without bailing. (Swimspa models incorporate standard lower side wall suctions)

Wide Mouth Skimmer

Each commercial cold tub is equipped with a wide mouth skimmer complete with hair and lint trap that maximizes water flow and surface cleaning.

Factory Installed Support Base

Each Hydropool commercial cold tub is equipped with either a fiberglass coated wood or steel support bracing to spread the weight bearing over a wider area.

Water Level Controller

Each Hydrother commercial hot tub is equipped with a water level controller which maintains proper water levels.
